Cabañeros National Park holds one of the best Spanish representations of Mediterranean woodland, both for its high degree of conservation and for the different ecological systems it has.

Among its main natural values are the Mediterranean woods and scrub, with the flora and fauna associated with each of these ecosystems, including species such as the Griffon and Black Vultures, kites, ravens, magpies, Iberian Magpies, the Golden Eagle and, in danger of extinction, the Spanish Imperial Eagle.
