Privacy Policy
What data is handled when you visit cabaneros.org, what for, and what you can do about it. In short: whatever you write to us, so we can reply, and the visit data collected by Cloudflare and Google, with the cookies you have accepted.
Who handles your data
The controller of your data is:
- Controller: Mariano Gómez Labrador
- NIF (Spanish tax ID): 05708978X
- Address: Calle Virgen del Coro, 18, piso 2, puerta 1, 28027 Madrid (Spain)
- Email: hola@holamade.com
In this policy, “cabaneros.org”, “we” and “us” refer to the controller.
What data is collected
- If you write to us: your email address, your name if you include it and whatever you tell us. The site has no forms and no user accounts.
- When you visit the site: technical connection data, such as your IP address, your browser and the page you request. It is handled by Cloudflare, which hosts the site, and, depending on what you accept in the cookie message, by Google, through Google Analytics (visit statistics) and Google AdSense (ads).
- If you save a trail to use without signal: the copy stays in your browser and nothing reaches us. You can delete it from Saved routes; otherwise it is deleted automatically after 60 days.
What it is used for and on what legal basis
- Replying to your messages: your consent, which you give by writing to us (Article 6.1.a of the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).
- Serving the site and protecting it from abuse: our legitimate interest in keeping it working and secure (Article 6.1.f of the GDPR).
- Visit statistics and personalised ads: your consent, which you give or refuse in the cookie message (Article 6.1.a of the GDPR and Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE). If you do not give it, Google Analytics only receives signals without cookies or identifiers, and Google only shows non-personalised ads.
We do not use your data to make automated decisions or to build profiles of our own.
How long it is kept
- Your messages: for as long as the conversation lasts. We delete emails no later than one year after the last contact, unless a law requires us to keep them longer.
- Google Analytics statistics: 14 months at most.
- Cookies: as stated in the cookie policy.
Who else sees it
We do not sell or pass on your data to anyone, unless a law requires it. To run the site we rely on these providers:
- Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts and protects the site. It handles technical connection data, such as your IP address, to serve the pages and stop abuse.
- Google Ireland Limited, for Google Analytics, Google AdSense and the cookie message. Google also uses this data for its own purposes; it explains how in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- The email provider we use to receive and store messages.
Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area. Both take part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which covers that transfer.
Some parts of the site load from other servers, and your browser sends them your IP address when it requests them, as it does with any website: video thumbnails from YouTube, trail maps from Spain’s National Geographic Institute, and product photos from Amazon. A video only loads if you click to watch it, and it loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. If you follow an affiliate link, what you do on amazon.es is handled by Amazon under its own policy; we only see total sales and commissions, without knowing who bought what.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access your data, correct it, delete it, object to its use, restrict its use or take it elsewhere (portability). You can also withdraw your consent to cookies with the “Cookie preferences” link at the foot of every page. For anything else, just send an email to hola@holamade.com telling us what you need; we will reply within one month, as the law requires.
If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at aepd.es.
Security and minors
The site always uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only the controller has access to the messages we receive. If you are under 14, please do not send us any personal data.
Changes
If we change this policy, you will see it here, with the date of the last update at the end.
