Legal notice

Who runs cabaneros.org and the terms for using it.

Who runs this site

As required by Article 10 of Spain’s Information Society Services and E-commerce Act (Law 34/2002, LSSI-CE), these are the details of the owner of this website:

cabaneros.org is an independent website about Cabañeros National Park and a personal project of its owner. It is not the park’s official website, and it does not depend on the Autonomous Agency for National Parks (OAPN) or any other public body. In these texts, “cabaneros.org”, “we” and “us” refer to the owner.

Using this site

You can read this site freely, without signing up or paying anything. By using it you agree to do so in good faith and within the law, and not to try to damage it, overload it or get into parts of it that are not public.

The information we give

Opening times, rules, trails and the facts about wildlife and plants come from official sources and from the publications we cite on each page, and we review them often. Even so, they can change or contain mistakes. Before you go, check what you need on the website of Spain’s Ministry for the Ecological Transition or at the park’s visitor centres.

Everyone walks the trails at their own risk. Follow the park’s rules, the instructions of its staff and the signs on the paths. If you find a mistake, write to us and we will correct it.

Intellectual property

The texts, the design and the uncredited photos on this site are our own. You are welcome to quote and link to them; if you would like to reproduce them or use them commercially, please ask us first.

Many photos and bird song recordings are by other authors and are published under their licence, usually Creative Commons: the author and the licence appear next to each one. The trail maps use mapping from Spain’s National Geographic Institute (IGN) and data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL licence). The PDF leaflets and newsletters are official park publications and are offered exactly as they were published.

We link to many other people’s websites. We do not control their content and cannot answer for it.

The site is funded by Google AdSense ads and by Amazon affiliate links: if you buy something on amazon.es after arriving through one of them, Amazon pays us a small commission, at no extra cost to you. We explain this on the affiliate links page.

Privacy and cookies

What data we handle and which cookies the site uses are explained in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.

Governing law

This notice is governed by Spanish law. If we ever disagree, we would rather talk it through; if that does not settle it, the courts with jurisdiction under the applicable rules will decide.
